9 days of juice fasting
Well, that certainly didn’t last long, lol. I went 9 whole days drinking my meals of fruits and vegetables only. I cannot believe how hard it was to actually give up chewing food, but it was.
So…what are the results? in 9 days i lost 16 pounds, 2 1/2″ off my belly and 1 1/2″ off my waist. Not bad I think. More importantly, I have had a juice every day since I ate my first meal. Im not ready to give that up yet. Work is picking up for me so I will be spending more time sitting down and as I’m writing this I have a juice right in front of me, keeping my appetite in check as I nurse it along.
I found that the craving that did me in, what I just HAD to have, was grilled salmon and broccoli. I couldn’t go any longer for some reason without having just that. It’s only been 6 days of eating and juicing combined, however, I have only put 2 pounds back on. Oddly, though, I have noticed my typical foods aren’t as satisfying as previously thought. I try not to eat fast food, but with two kids, sometimes ya gotta, and i have noticed that the food actually doesn’t taste good. Don’t get me wrong, there are moments of chewing up a hamburger that my taste buds say, ooooh, that bite was good, but over the course of the entire burger, it’s not satisfying nor is it (as a whole) very tasty. I have noticed this with most of the food that I typically eat.
So whats the plan now? another Juice fast.I feel like I know more of what to expect. My goal? I’m just going to beat 9 days, and then we’ll see where it goes. Oh, and the ole lady made it 7 days. We had talked about a “cheat day” and she took that as “WE ARE HAVING” a cheat day. She came home and asked me what i ate, and i said, my mean green twice today, why? She was feeling guilty after that, she really thought we agreed on something, lol.

Congrats! You will find that juicing becomes quite addicting! Check out my blog for some new juice recipes! http://manfonhealth.wordpress.com/
